Meatballs stuffed with cheese
Meatballs are one of the dishes that we like the most in our recipe book, they can be made with different types of meat, even combined with each other, today we are also going to allow ourselves the luxury of filling them, in this case with cheese.
4 people
Difficulty: easy
Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
500 g minced chicken/turkey meat
1 egg L
2 slices of sliced bread
100 ml of warm milk
6 threads of saffron
chopped fresh parsley
1 garlic very minced
1/4 chopped spring onion
150 g of cream cheese in a piece
extra virgin olive oil
Black pepper
Salt
To accompany:
Ketchup
Preparation:
In a bowl , add the meat and season it to taste, then add the saffron threads in the warm milk and soak the sliced bread, leaving it in the milk until well soaked.
In another bowl , beat the egg and add the minced meat, add the garlic, spring onion and parsley and mix well. When everything is well mixed, drain the sliced bread and add it to the meat. Now is the time to knead the meat together with the bread, we integrate the bread while we undo it with the help of our hands with the meat.
If it is necessary to amalgamate the meat well, we can add a handful of breadcrumbs, especially if we see that it is difficult for us to manipulate it.
Then we cut the cheese into 1cm x 1cm blocks, we take portions of meat, we put a block of cheese in the center and we shape the meatballs.
We can cook them in the oven at 200ºC for 20 minutes, brushing with a little extra virgin olive oil, they will be very tasty and much healthier.
Pour the tomato sauce into a 24cm Efficient Plus low saucepan , heat and add the meatballs, cook for 5 minutes over medium-low heat and that's it.
