Butter cookies for Christmas
What's a Christmas without cookies at home? It's what he likes to do the most children and this recipe is so simple that you can prepare it with them and enjoy some family cooking time.
You can fill them with chocolate cream, with jam or just eat them as they are.
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of flour
- A pinch of salt
- 250 gr of butter at room temperature
- 200 g of icing sugar
- One egg + one yolk
- One teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

Elaboration:
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees C.
- In a bowl of an electric mixer, mix the flour, sugar and salt.
- Add the butter and beat until it comes together and looks like coarse sand. Add the vanilla extract, egg and yolk and mix well.
- Place the dough on a baking paper and cover it with another. Stretch the dough with a rolling pin and let it cool in the fridge for 10 minutes.
- Cut the dough with the cutters we have. We can also cut it with a knife in a square or rectangular shape and even give it a round shape with a glass.
- Place cut cookies on prepared Efficient baking sheet and bake about 15 minutes until cookies are golden on edge but white on top.
- Let cool on a rack.
