It is advisable not to use one pan for all cooking, since each recipe has its specific characteristics in terms of its preparation and the result obtained will improve considerably if it is prepared with the most suitable pan.

Although it is not common, one of the first questions to ask when choosing the most suitable frying pan is what you usually cook with it. Preparing an omelette is not the same as grilling a steak, roasting chicken or vegetables in the oven or preparing meatballs with sauce. Any of these dishes can be made in a frying pan, but not all of them can be made in the same pan.

For more delicate cooking, where a medium temperature is necessary, such as preparing an omelette, sautéing or poaching, it is advisable to use a pan with a good non-stick coating, traditional or ceramic. They are practical and easy to use and allow you to cook with very little oil without the food sticking.

As an alternative to traditional non-stick pans, ceramic pans are also ideal for more delicate cooking where a medium temperature is required, such as preparing an omelette, sautéing or poaching. They allow you to cook with very little oil without the food sticking and are practical and easy to use.

If you want to cook on a griddle, which requires a medium-high temperature, it is much more convenient to use a stainless steel pan without non-stick coating. They require a little more practice with the temperature, to prevent the food from sticking on some occasions.

If you primarily sauté, fry or grill, a traditionally designed pan with low, slightly concave sides is a perfect choice.

If you are looking for a pan to cook soupy dishes or dishes with sauce, without fear of spills, a tall pan, which has higher walls, would be the best option.

If you want a pan in which to cook meat, fish or vegetables only on the grill, a good recommendation is a pan with a wide base or a grill, either smooth or with a ridged grill-type base.

What size do you need?

To choose the right size for your pan, you have to take into account the number of people in the house, the portions you usually prepare and the size of the food you are cooking. For example, if you are cooking for two, the ideal size would be a pan measuring 20 cm to 24 cm; these sizes are also ideal for sautéing, frying or making omelettes, and they are usually the most functional pans. But if you are going to grill two steaks, or a whole piece of fish, these sizes would be small. In this case, the ideal would be a pan with a larger diameter, at least 26 or 28 cm.

Based on this and taking into account that the measurements indicated on the pans always correspond to the upper diameter
The recommendations would be as follows:

To ensure that all your needs are covered, we recommend that you choose two pans of different sizes that can complement each other (either a more functional pan and a larger griddle or grill or a pack of pans ), so that they can be used even at the same time if the recipe requires it.

In which kitchen can you use it?

All our pans, both non-stick and stainless steel, are suitable for all cooktops: gas, ceramic, electric and induction.

Is it suitable for oven cooking?

If you're looking for a pan that you can use to cook in the oven, whether to prepare a dish from scratch or to give a gratin or golden finish to the recipe you've started on the stove, you'll need a pan that's suitable for this.

The Frying pans with removable handles allow you to use them both on the stove and in the oven, by simply removing the handle. When you want to take the pan out of the oven, you can safely and comfortably remove the pan by fitting the handle to the pan. The handles fit easily and very securely. When you cook with them on the stove, with the handle fitted, you will see that the handle does not move.

Stainless steel pans are another possibility, as this material is oven-safe.

How much space do you have to store the pans?

When you have little space in your cupboards or drawers, either because the kitchen is small or because you have a lot of kitchenware, frying pans with removable handles are an excellent alternative. By removing the handle, they are very practical to store, and in addition to taking up less space, the handle does not get in the way when storing or taking them out.

Is weight an important factor?

If the weight of the pan is a factor to consider when choosing your pan, there are lightweight alternatives, so that handling it in the kitchen is not a problem.

Among the non-stick pans, the Daily Pro and Life collections, made from thinner cast aluminium, and the Nordik collection, made from forged aluminium, stand out for their lower weight. The pans in these three non-stick collections are light and easy to handle, making them an excellent alternative when weight is a problem.

Stainless steel pans without non-stick coating are also lightweight and easy to handle.

How often are you going to cook with the pan?

All our collections have an excellent non-stick coating. But depending on the use you are going to give it, one model or another is recommended.

If you cook on a daily basis, intensively, the best option is a pan with a reinforced and durable non-stick coating, capable of withstanding intensive use. If you cook sporadically, the needs are different, so a good non-stick coating will last you a long time.
