Today I present to you a new easy and very colorful way to eat sausages. And this sauce is going to become one of your favorites.
500 g of fresh sausages
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 red bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
1 can of crushed tomato
1/glass of white wine
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
1 teaspoon of oregano
In a Signature skillet , sear the sausages on both sides without any oil.
Remove the sausages and add the oil to the pan along with the peppers and onion. When the vegetables are soft, add the crushed tomato and white wine and return the sausages.
Let cook for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens and the sausages are tender. Season with salt and add a pinch of freshly ground black pepper.
Finish with some more chopped basil and serve with your favorite side dish.
