Bhutan potatoes recipe

We are not sure that this recipe exists, we do not even know if it comes from Bhutan, this recipe is typical of Grupo Tragaluz since its inception and a classic to order on the terrace of the Agua restaurant in Barcelona or Tragamar in Calella de Palafrugell .

It is simply spectacular and everyone who tries it is usually amazed when trying them.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 2-3 piquillo peppers
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 chilli pepper
  • 125 ml liquid cream
  • 6 Havarti cheese slices

Preparation

  1. Fry the potatoes in abundant extra virgin olive oil, over medium heat (if we put them with the oil too hot they will be too hard on the outside and we want them a little soft). When they are done, drain them on absorbent paper, season with salt and pepper and reserve.
  2. In a non- stick frying pan with a splash of olive oil (we can use the same one in which we have fried the potatoes) sauté the piquillo peppers together with the mashed garlic and chilli pepper. When the oil begins to turn red, leave a couple more minutes and add the liquid cream. Stir continuously and leave on the heat until it boils, lower the heat to a minimum and add the havarti cheese slice by slice.
  3. We continue stirring until we see that the sauce has thickened, we pour it over the potatoes and serve at the moment of consuming.

And you, what is your favorite snack to watch football?
