apples with custard
In a Dupla pan, put the whole apples. Prick them with a toothpick and add the cinnamon stick and the tablespoon of panela. Cover the pan with the other half and cook for 40 minutes. After this time, let it rest for 5 minutes before opening the pan. Meanwhile, prepare some custard. In an Efficient Orange saucepan, put the milk together with the lemon and orange peel and the sugar, and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
Ingredients
- 4 apples
- 80 ml of water
- 2 butter spoons
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tablespoon of panela
For the custard:
- 500 ml of milk at room temperature
- 3 egg yolks M
- 6 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch
- the skin of a lemon
- the skin of an orange
Preparation

- After this time, let it rest for 5 minutes before opening the pan. Meanwhile, prepare some custard.
- In a saucepan Efficient Orange add the milk together with the lemon and orange peel and the sugar, and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Strain the infused milk and return it to the saucepan. Add the egg yolks and heat over medium heat, taking care not to let it boil, stirring constantly with the help of a whisk.
- Dissolve the cornstarch in 3 tablespoons of cold milk. When it begins to thicken, add the dissolved cornstarch and continue stirring until the custard thickens without boiling.
- Serve the apples with the custard.
